Mini Update Preview - Wedding Ceramics

A few weeks ago I was honoured to create the wedding flowers for my lovely brother-in-law and his wife (you can see more pictures on Instagram). I made all the vessels for the flowers and though we’re keeping some to remember their wonderful day, we’d love the others to go out into the world - and maybe even celebrate more special occasions with you!

I will be releasing two sets of pieces tomorrow at 8pm (Wednesday 27th August). Details are below and the same information will also be available on the product pages. Please let me know if you have any questions or want any more details.

If you’d like a bigger set then I’m happy to discuss making more (or a new custom set for you) - please do email me.

Please note for these two sets only I’ve decided to just ship to the UK.

Bud Vases

Set of 22

The bud vases were made to sit together as a set but all be a bit different. I used four different weights of clay so they range in size and I varied the flared rim to give each one their own personality.

Dimensions:

They fall into four rough groups: 5 smallest, 4 a bit bigger, 8 medium and then 5 in the biggest group.

I’ve put one of each group next to the wooden egg in the photo below - it is the size of a standard hen’s egg.

Heights - the smallest is 5.5cm, the tallest 11.75cm. Most are around 8-10cm.

Diameter at widest point - around 4.25-5.5cm

Opening - around 1.25-3cm

They are all glazed in snowfall and have the characteristic snowflakes and crackle finish on the outside.

I would really like to keep these together so I will sell the set of 22 for a special one-off price of £300 (for reference, at full price they would be £568, wholesale/commission £397.60)

Large Bowls

Set of 3

These three bowls were made to work together and have a similar curve and foot shape. You can see one of them being made step-by-step in this reel, and part of the glazing process here.

They all have holes in the rim to secure chicken wire - you can use wire or I like twine (kinder on fingers and I find it easier to pull it tight).

Dimensions

All three are roughly: height 12.5-13cm, diameter at widest point 16-16.5cm, opening diameter 15.5cm.

For reference please compare to the wooden egg in the photo below, which is the size of a standard hen’s egg.

They are all glazed in snowfall and have the characteristic snowflakes and crackle finish on the outside. The inside is a plain white glaze.

I will sell the set of 3 for £90 (for reference full price would be £132, wholesale/commission price £92.40).
